H O L I: The festival of colours.   India is a country of not only diversity, full of people, places and food. But also, traditions, culture and community, communities that celebrate varied festivals and occasions.  With that in mind, India celebrated Holi, the festival of colours, as on 3rd and/or 4th March 2026. Why the two days, you may ask, well because there were a lunar eclipse and some people avoided to celebrate Holi on the 3rd.  But what actually is Holi? It is the celebration of triumph of good over evil.  In the Hindu religion, there is a legend. It goes as: Once there was a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu, named Prahlad. He was young but he had a strong devotion to his deity. But his father, Hirankashyapu , was against of any Vishnu believers, that meant Prahlad as well.  So as to punish Prahlad, he asks his sister Holika who was resistant to fire, to sit with Prahlad into a bonfire.
